If you want to know whether a manufacturer can handle your reorder for next season, our team checks on site straight away. Your buying runs through one European contact who takes the order from enquiry to your warehouse and lets you see every step, so buying in China is no longer a black box.
As a retailer you plan around season dates. So we get in touch on our own when something shifts and tell you openly when a batch is not going to plan. We work out every delivery date realistically and do all we can to make it hold. You know us personally; if there is a quality problem we talk about it straight away and come to see you. Who benefits from direct wholesale sourcing?
Direct sourcing is suitable for retailers who want to define products, quantities and quality more precisely than a standard catalogue allows. This includes boutiques adding recurring basics, online shops testing a new category and established brands planning an individual collection. The starting point is always your actual requirement: product type, material, finish, target quantity, delivery address and desired timing.
There is no one manufacturer that is best for every order. A producer for simple stock apparel is evaluated differently from a factory for custom cuts, embroidery or special packaging. We compare capabilities against your specification before a quote is prepared. This keeps the selection tied to the product rather than to the loudest marketplace listing.
What a comparable quote must include
The unit price at the manufacturer does not show the cost at your address on its own. For a useful purchasing decision, product price, sampling, inspection, freight, customs handling and delivery must be considered together. We therefore quote the route as a complete project and state what is included. If material, packaging or quantity changes, the calculation is adjusted transparently instead of hiding the difference in a later surcharge.

Direct from China
Felix Sander and our Chinese team work with the manufacturers in China every day and know them personally. We negotiate the best possible price with them directly, and you have one European contact.
Full import handling
We handle freight, insurance, customs clearance and delivery, on the fastest and most cost-effective route for each order. In the EU you receive the goods DDP to your door — no EORI number, no customs paperwork. Switzerland is delivered DAP: Swiss duty and VAT are cleared by you.
Clear contract and invoice
Your contracting party is a German company. The invoice with VAT ID shows product, logistics and import costs clearly, and you have one contact for the entire order. For EU business customers outside Germany, VAT treatment depends on the delivery route and destination country; we clarify how it appears on the invoice before you order and state it in the quotation.

You send us your product and target quantity. The minimum order is 300 pieces.
Quote
We source manufacturers and send a quote including landed cost and lead time.
Payment & check
You pay 60% when the contract is signed and 40% once the shipping document is issued. Before shipment our team inspects the goods (pre-shipment inspection).
Delivery
Shipment from China to your address: DDP in the EU, DAP in Switzerland.
Trust
DS Trading is a German company (GbR) based in Hamburg, not a mailbox overseas. Our Chinese team with Felix in China and Ben in Hamburg staff both ends of the supply chain in person. Before shipment, our own team in China checks the goods on site at the producer, and every shipment can optionally be covered by cargo insurance. The quote includes duty, freight and delivery. We give realistic delivery dates and do everything we can to keep them.
