In our early twenties we both went to China: Felix lives in China today, Ben spent half a year there. We saw how producers really work, what they mean when they say something, and where German buyers otherwise stumble over language or business culture.
DS Trading grew out of that understanding of both sides. Felix and our Chinese team in China take care of manufacturers, quality and inspection on the ground. Ben in Hamburg handles logistics, customs and the German paperwork. Our manufacturer network was built in person, in direct contact with the factories rather than through trading platforms.
For most buyers, importing from China is a black box. The language is foreign, so is the business culture, prices are hard to read and there is no face on the other side. Nobody should have to trust blindly for that. So with us a handshake counts like a signature. We calculate openly. If we name a price, we do everything to keep it there. The same goes for the delivery date.
Trust is shown, not claimed. Ours is shown by two locations staffed by us in person, two checks by our own team on site, during and after production, before every shipment, a German GbR based in Hamburg with Hamburg as place of jurisdiction, and a German invoice your bookkeeping treats like any domestic supplier.
Every manufacturer is vetted before the first order, including a business licence check. A physical sample you approve sets the standard against which the series and every reorder are inspected.
We do not vouch for goods on our word alone. Our own team in China checks the goods during production and again after completion, before shipment, on site at the producer, against the approved sample and your specification.
