By sea, DDP delivery takes 50 to 65 days, by air about 15, and that is when communication counts. We report the status of your shipment without being asked and say openly when something stalls. We plan the delivery date realistically and put everything into making it hold. You know us personally, and if there is a quality problem we talk at once and come to you, because your trust is what our business rests on.

Plan the route before production is finished
Sea and air freight serve different priorities. The decision is based on shipment volume, dimensions, required delivery window and the value of time for your order. It should be made early enough for packaging, export documents and collection at the manufacturer to match the route. We coordinate those interfaces with the supplier instead of treating transport as an isolated booking after production.
A detailed schedule breaks out production, inspection, main transport, customs processing and final delivery as separate milestones. Estimated transit time is not the same as an arrival commitment. You receive the current order status and the next relevant step throughout the process.
Documents and customs data must describe the same goods
Customs processing starts with consistent product information. Description, composition, quantity, value and country information must match the commercial and transport documents. The applicable classification cannot be chosen from the product name alone; material and intended use may affect it. We collect the necessary information before dispatch and coordinate missing details with the manufacturer.

We handle freight, insurance, customs clearance and delivery, on the fastest and most cost-effective route for each order. In the EU you receive the goods DDP to your door — no EORI number, no customs paperwork. Switzerland is delivered DAP: Swiss duty and VAT are cleared by you.
Clear contract and invoice
Your contracting party is a German company. The invoice with VAT ID shows product, logistics and import costs clearly, and you have one contact for the entire order. For EU business customers outside Germany, VAT treatment depends on the delivery route and destination country; we clarify how it appears on the invoice before you order and state it in the quotation.

We source manufacturers and send a quote including landed cost and lead time.
Payment & check
You pay 60% when the contract is signed and 40% once the shipping document is issued. Before shipment our team inspects the goods (pre-shipment inspection).

Trust
DS Trading is a German company (GbR) based in Hamburg, not a mailbox overseas. Our Chinese team with Felix in China and Ben in Hamburg staff both ends of the supply chain in person. Before shipment, our own team in China checks the goods on site at the producer, and every shipment can optionally be covered by cargo insurance. The quote includes duty, freight and delivery. We give realistic delivery dates and do everything we can to keep them.
