Corporate fashion and company clothing from China
For workwear and corporate fashion retailers and brands: planned reorders in China with consistent measurements, colours and finishing across every batch, delivered DDP with a German invoice.
Request a quoteA reorder programme, not a one-off order
With workwear and corporate fashion, consistency is the whole point. A polo shirt in your company colour has to look the same in batch five as in batch one: the same shade, the same fit, the same fabric weight. That needs a documented specification and a fixed reference sample, so the factory is not reinterpreting the article on every order.
We keep the approved specification and sample on file as the reference for every reorder. A follow-up order is checked against your first batch, and colour and fit deviations are part of the inspection before every shipment.
Who watches your company colour in China
Two founders stand behind DS Trading, a German company from Hamburg: Ben Detert in Hamburg and Felix Sander, who works in China with a whole team. That team knows more than 100 producers personally. For company clothing they include a manufacturer making T-shirts, hoodies, jackets and vests for teams and companies, as well as specialists for softshell and technical trousers. When your reorder goes back to the same factory, our team can go there straight away and check whether fabric from the new dye lot matches your reference sample.
Your one European contact looks after the programme across all batches, from the first polo to the fifth reorder, and makes sure it happens. What goes on in China does not stay a black box for you: you hear when the fabric has been dyed and when the goods are loaded. We get in touch on our own, including when a lot is off in colour or a date slips. New staff need their clothing by a certain day, so we give realistic delivery dates and do everything we can to keep them.
Trust is the most important thing we have, and you know us personally. If a batch does not match the reference, we talk to you at once and come to see you. Our prices for company clothing are usually lower than sourcing yourself or using other sourcing agencies. That is because we run China and Germany ourselves, take the cheaper solution on both sides and negotiate the best possible price with the manufacturers. Every batch arrives DDP at your address, with an invoice from Germany.
- Specialists for polos, softshell and trousers in our network
- Reply within 48 hours, for reorders too
Quality control across batches
Unless agreed otherwise, every batch, first order or reorder, goes through the same two on-site checks by our own team in China: a check during production and a final inspection after completion, before shipment. The reference for both is the approved sample and your specification. Consistency between batches is one of the specific points checked each time, alongside measurements, workmanship and colour.
- Same manufacturer and reference sample for every reorder
- Colour and fit checked against the approved reference
- Checks by our own team during production and before shipment
- DDP import into the EU, invoice with German VAT ID
Minimum quantity and reorders
The minimum order is 300 pieces per article. Reorders are possible from the same minimum, and staying with the same manufacturer keeps the reference sample and specification intact across every subsequent batch.
Articles we produce
We produce polos, softshells, trousers, jackets, T-shirts and sweatshirts for workwear and corporate fashion, uncertified only. Certified personal protective equipment of categories II and III is out of scope, see the boundary below.
Fabric weight and material are set per article in the specification. We do not work from a fixed catalogue weight; the tech pack or reference article fixes the fabric for each item.
- Polos, softshells, trousers, jackets
- T-shirts and sweatshirts
- Uncertified garments only, no category II or III PPE
- Fabric weight set per article in the specification
Colour consistency and corporate colours
A corporate colour is bound to an approved physical reference, not just a colour number on a page. Fabric dyed in a different lot can deviate visibly from that reference, which is the main risk in a reorder programme.
Our own team checks colour against the approved reference during production and again at the final inspection before shipment, so a deviation surfaces in China rather than after delivery.
What a quote contains
A quote for workwear is a landed cost per piece, not an isolated factory price. It brings together the following components:
No price example is shown here because workwear articles vary too much by fabric and construction; the figure is calculated for your specification.
- FOB price at the factory
- Freight, sea or air for the order
- Import duty: 12% for knitwear (HS 61) or wovens (HS 62), to be checked for the project
- Import VAT (Einfuhrumsatzsteuer)
- Marine cargo insurance, optional: approx. 0.3% of the CIF value
- Last-mile delivery to your address (DDP)
What this is not
Personal protective equipment of categories II and III, such as certified cut-resistant, high-visibility or flame-retardant workwear, is not an entry product for us. We do not start with certification-obligated protective clothing. Uncertified workwear and corporate fashion, such as polos, softshells, trousers and jackets without a mandatory protective certification, are within scope, always specified and inspected against your written requirements rather than a general promise of compliance.

What you can check batch by batch
- Your company colour is tied to a physical reference sample, and every new batch is measured against it during production.
- Grading and size set are written into the specification and fixed on the approved sample, so a size M in the third batch fits like the first.
- Fabric weight and material are set in writing for each article and checked again on the finished garments.
- Our own team inspects each batch twice at the producer, in production and on the finished goods; if you waive this, the order gets cheaper.
- Payment per batch: 60 % with the contract, the remaining 40 % only once the bill of lading or air waybill is issued.
- Contracting party and issuer of the invoice is DS Trading in Hamburg with a German VAT ID; delivery is DDP, to Switzerland DAP.

OpenFrequently asked questions
How do you keep reorders consistent in colour and fit?
The approved sample and written specification from your first order stay on file as the reference. Every reorder is produced with the same manufacturer and checked against that reference, including colour and fit, during production and at the final inspection before shipment.
What is the minimum order?
The minimum order is 300 pieces per article, for both first orders and reorders.
Do you supply certified PPE such as flame-retardant or cut-resistant workwear?
No, not as an entry product. Personal protective equipment of categories II and III requires certification-specific processes we do not start with. Uncertified workwear and corporate fashion are within scope, produced against your written specification.
Can you produce a full size run for a corporate collection?
Yes. Size grading is part of the specification and is fixed on the approved sample, so the size run stays the same across the first order and every reorder.
